👉History of Computer
The word computer is obtained from the word compute, which means to calculate. Initially, these machines were used for primarily calculations.
Not an official acronym: Many experts and sources state that there is no official acronym for "computer" and the "full form" is a modern construct used to explain and memorize.
A computer is an electronic device that can receive, process, store, and output data by following a set of instructions.

👉Charles Babbage - "Father of the Computer"
Year: 1822 - 1837
Invented Difference Engine (for calculations).
Later created Analytical Engine, the first idea of the general-purpose computer.
His assistant Ada Lovelace is referred to as the first computer programmer.
👉The main Function of Computer??
The five functions of computer are input, processing, output, storage and control. These functions characterize the cycle of a computer where it takes in data (input), performs calculations on the data (processing), stores the results (storage), displays the results to the user (output) and coordinates all these operations (control).
Input: The operation of getting data and instructions from an input device, such as a keyboard or mouse.
Processing: The operation of performing operations on the input data. This is taken care of mostly by the central processing unit (CPU), which does the arithmetic and logical operations.
Output: The part of the process where the function of displaying the processed data to the user via an output device such as a monitor or printer.
Storage: The functionality of storing data and instruction for current or future purposes. This is done via primary storage (ram) and secondary storage (like a hard drive).
Control: The function of controlling and coordinating all the activities and devices within the computer system in order for all operations to be done correctly.

👤2.Alan Turing – Father of Modern Computing- 1936
Developed the Turing Machine, a mathematical model for computing.
His ideas explained how computers could solve any logical problem.
Helped decode secret messages (Enigma) during World War II.
👤 3. John Atanasoff & Clifford Berry- 1937–1942
Built the Atanasoff–Berry Computer (ABC) — first electronic computer using binary digits (bits).
👤4. ENIAC (Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer)-1946
Developers: John Presper Eckert and John Mauchly (USA)
The first general-purpose electronic computer.
Could perform thousands of calculations per second.
